6. Q. Swamiji, we are entering 21st Century, we had so many advances in various scientific fields. Technologically we reached many heights. In such an era can we prove and say that Mantras have the power to sanctify a stone?

A. It is common knowledge that sound has power, with the sound of our voice we can communicate and respond. For example we say 'Yes' when our name is called. Mantras are from Vedas which have supreme power when ritually and properly chanted. We can invoke any power from Prakrithi, the nature. Mun in mantra means-to think. Tra means to save so mantra means which saves by thinking. So who ever thinks will be saved.

        Wire is the mediator to bring the electrical power into the bulb, fan or television etc. Mantram has the power to make an individual or a stone to be a mediator to bring the power of the Lord.
