15. Q. Swamiji what is your message to us?

A. At present everyone is very selfish and he alone wants to be happy, without any concern about others. No doubt it is important that one should be happy but also one has to realize that only when the entire community is happy, one can multiply his happiness and divide his sorrow. Every human being should think at large about the happiness of others also, but he can think like that only when he does not count his misgivings.

Most of the times the realization of happiness is more when you are with your friends and well wishers than when you are alone in your room. This is very much true especially when things are not working well for you. When they leave you, you think more of your problems. When you mingle with others with your heart and mind, you think of them more and you feel like doing some good service to them. When you sincerely and honestly serve them, indeed all of them will think of your welfare. This used to be so much true with politicians and social workers in the past, however, we have some even now in that category who are selfless and do nishkama karma.

Your goal should be that you have to think beyond your home, your village, your state and your country. When you are thinking of so many in the universe then automatically you are increasing your number of well wishers. By showing interest beyond yourself, you are thinking of society at large and you are also keeping the responsibilities of yours in the hands of society. If you increase your interest beyond yourself up to the universe you will become closer to 'Viswa Rakshaka' who is the dictator of the universe, the PARAMAATHMA who is subtler than the subtlest and larger than the largest. Sri Krishna said in 10th chapter of Bhagavad Geeta

thesham sathathov yukthaanam bhajathaam

preethi purvakam dadaami buddhi yogam

With love, God will inculcate the necessary Buddhi Yogam so that you can permeate yourself into everything. With this you can assert your special seat that is already there, in the assembly of the Lord of the Universe. Thus you can and should make an "INDELIBLE IMPACT " on the society.

(Bhagavad Geeta (2-66))

Without one's mind dedicated to God, reflection on the pure self (Aatma) is not possible. In the absence of this, the desire for sense objects does not decrease. With this addiction for sense objects, how can there be eternal and unsurpassed happiness?
