This manthram provides the powerful prayer to God. Man has to utter the names of God and pray to Him by calling Him as mentioned in this manthram. 'Pusham' means the sustainer of the whole universe, 'karshe' means 'unique', 'yama' means 'controller', 'surya' means 'grower'; 'prajapathi' means the ruler of all creatures; 'vyuharasmin' means one with great radiance; 'samuhathejah' means God bring all your divine brilliance into one place 'yaththe:ru:pam kalya:nathamam thaththe:pasya:mi' means 'O Paramathma! Please show me your most auspicious form.' 'yosavasau purusha sso:hamasmi' means He who is 'there', 'here' and everywhere is also me. I am Him. Briefly the prayer implies.

'Oh God! I am not able to see Thee, who dost dwell in my own athma. I am not able to see Thee or Thy brilliance externally, either. I am helpless and incapable. Hence, please bring Thy pervading lustre into one place as a conceivable form. Only then shall be I able to worship Thee. It is only with Thy mercy that I can remove this layer of ignorance that envelopes me. He! Paramathma, have mercy on me. Man has to pray to God in the above manner, completely resigning himself to Paramathma.
