vitharkado:la:m = a state of wavering with doubts;
vyavadhu:ya = remove; sathve: = to remain in a state of equipoise;
bruhaspathim = Bruhaspathi; varthayase: = ensure;
yathaha = why; thvam = you;
the:nai:va = because of which; de:va = Hayagriva Swami;
thridase:swara:na:m = of deities;
asprushtadola:yitham = does not waver in a state of ambiguity;
a:dhira:jyam = domain;
Bruhaspathi is the preceptor of the deities. Owing to God’s grace, he was blessed with complete knowledge. The guna:s (qualities) called rajas (action) and tamas (inertia) are subdued in him. Bruhaspathi has pure knowledge and equipoise (sathwa). If the different gods rule over the universe it is due to Bruhaspathi only. It is he who lays down the various rules and ensures that the gods act according to his decisions. He removes their doubts and advises them. That is why the domain of the gods has stability. Prior to your grace descending on Bruhaspathi their empire lay unstable between the deities and the demons. O Hayagriva Swami! The establishment of a stable realm by Bruhaspathi is entirely due to Your Grace. Let that Grace be showered on us also so that our intelligence gets sharpened and we obtain lasting benefits.
