mandaha = foolish; abhavishyeth = remained; niyatham = surely;
virinchaha = Brahma;
va:cha:m nidhe: = abode of all speech, Hayagri:va Swami;vanchitha = deceived; bha:gadhe:yaha = fortunate;
dai:thya:pani:tha:n = taken away by demons;
dayayai:va = out of kindness only; bhu:yo:pi = again;
nigama:n = Ve:da:s; thwam = you;
na adhya:payishyache:th = if not taught;
O Hayagriva Swami! Abode of all knowledge! You had taught all the Vedas to the Four faced Brahma at the time of Creation. But he did not care about them. Asura:s stole them away. Brahma was full of sorrow. You could not bear to see it. SoYou appeared as Hayavadana and killed the demons. With great patience You taught the Vedas again. If You had not done so Brahma would have remained ignorant, unfortunate and unintelligent. You, Lord of all speech, enabled Brahma to become knowledgeable. Bestow such grace on us also.
