Recitation in Sri Swamiji's voice
visudhdha = Pure; vigna:naghana = as if knowledge in solidified form;
swaru:pam = shaped; vigna:navisra:nana = in giving knowledge;
badhdhadi:ksham = with unwavering intent; daya:nidhim = abode of kindness;
de:habhrutham = for all living beings; saranyam = protector;
Hayagri:va de:vam = the One with the divine form of Hayagriva;
aham = I; prapadye: = seek refuge;
There are four consequences of ignorance. They are delusion, inattentiveness, deceit and incapacity. Delusion is to mistake one for the other. Inattentiveness is not to notice what is on hand. Deceit is to cheat others. Incapacity is inability to express what is known or experienced. Hayagriva banishes all these. He appears as the very manifestation of all knowledge with none of the above blemishes. Hayagriva gives up all other activities and is concerned only with bestowing knowledge on us. As He is compassionate, He protects all mankind with such bestowal. I pay obeisance to that Hayagriva for acquisition of knowledge.
